Rummaging through my gran's loft one day, a favourite pass-time of mine, I found this photo. I fell in love with it. I asked my gran about it; she told me the man was a wealthy English business man, and she was a famous Greek Singer (or actress, I forget). If a photo ever truly said 1000 words, this would be it.
I decided to draw it, fearing I would never be able to capture what I truly love about it. To play safe I tweaked the expressions, and exaggerated the faces to make it somewhat my own. The initial reason I drew it was for the piece I'm painting for the living room, but my parent, turning out to be worse than real clients hated it. When I asked what they didn't like about it, they replied, "Everything".
